Heavystar E46 vented hood on a 28/2.8mm lens?

Does the vented hood from Heavystar (seller on the bay) vignette on film with a 28/2.8mm lens? How about on a 35mm lens?

I am asking because it is designed to work on normal lenses, but in my G2 viewfinder, the vignette from the Contax hood for the Planar 45/2 is minimal. However the hood looks really short and wide (on the bay) and I could surely use a vented hood for the Contax G 28mm/2.8 because the Contax hood vignettes the viewfinder too much for my liking.

Any users of Heavystar vented hoods? Any resourse for wide angle vented hoods (46mm into filter or lens treads) know around here? Anyone around with a Heavystar 46mm vented hood and a Contax G with a Biogon 28/2.8?

I've just received a 43mm Heavystar hood in the mail today to use on my Hex 35 UC lens. I queried with Heavystar before buying it about vignetting on the 35 and the answer was it would be fine. But with the hood in hand, if it doesn't vignette, it's going to be a close thing. My gut feeling is it would be a problem on a 28mm lens. Send them an email. All that aside, for $15 with a lens cap, it won't break the bank. Especially when 20 years ago, metal lens hoods for my Nikkor lenses were costing two and three times that.
