Hi!

I had this hektor wich was burned, optics kaputt...

...and i bought on ebay the lens assembly of the T2

So, today recieved it and dismantled it...just left the lens and barrel.

The great thing is aperture is independent so i can use it like any RF lens.

My question is:

Since i must put the lens onto the hektor mount how can i know the precise distance?

Regards,

Hmm. This could be difficult. I'm not sure the dimensions will work out- the Hektor lens barrel must be trimmed down for sure. Do you have a way of checking the register distance of the Sonnar (ie, how far the rear of the lens barrel must be from the image plane to focus to infinity)? A 38mm short-focus lens probably has a register distance of ~ 20-25mm so I'm not sure there's room...

I am trying a similar combination, but using the Summarit 40/2.4 from an E02 Minilux with a focusing mount from an Elmar. I measured it using the mount on a Sony A7 (via a M39 to NEX adapter), marking the focusing extension when infinity focus is attained. I'm using the moon as a target.
