My name is Dennis i'm in St.louis Mo.A little about me, I'm fairly new to RF in general i recently picked up a nice electro gsn and i'm still chasing a lynx14e.I shoot digital and film both.I alternate back and forth alot. I use a pentax ist'ds dslr and a few film bodies that include a pentax k-1000,a ME super and a black bodied K2 with a bunch of primes.I also shoot a nikon D50 dslr with a few lenses and sb-600 flash for my wedding work.Having all these cameras drives me insane sometimes but i use and enjoy all of them for different reasons.I also enjoy dance, trance, techno music.Ok my main gripe with RFs in general is being used to slrs and dslrs,i use the "rule of thirds" And with my gsn i often cut off limbs, heads and other things i actually want in my picture.I guess i need more practice behind my RF.http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y20/dennisdaugherty/me2.jpg

Welcome
Great fun to play with the Yashicas and not so expensive you you could easily try to get a few of the great models - CC- GT - GSN - GTN etc!

Welcome, you've joined the goup using an old yashica with excellent yashinon lens and a very good lightmeter, so you can concentrate on the subject. That's why I like my yashica electros! And everything is more simple. Just pure photography.

Welcome to the forums. You will get used to the RF viewfinders. It doesn't take that long.

You will enjoy it here I am sure, except for the inevitable GAS attacks.

Welcome Dennis. Not sure if I agree that they force you to "slow down and think". Well, perhaps to a digital. The GSNs were built for speed. Premeter using the lights on the top plate (oops almost said, "LED") and get the focus in range using the ft/mtr scale... click.
