I have a nice QL that had been CLA and made nice negatives. I sold it to a newbie on RRF and after a few weeks he wanted his money back because he said it was scratching his film. I never had a problem with it but I took it back and when I recieved it today I think he must have somehow bent the QL film door attachment. This is so tought to explain but the piece that slides inside the piece that holds the rollers that hold the film is bent outward and touching the film.

Advice? Can someone post a picture on how it's supposed to look.

That's a shame, it would take a lot of force for him to have bent that piece of stainless steel. Nobody ever taught him not to force things.

He broke it, he should pay for it. Either that, or you've been switcheroo'd, which would be even worse.

I figured it out, but it's tough to explain. The flat spring that pulls the QL mechanism outward rides between two flat rails. A little back and forth and I got it back in the track. Shouldn't have sold it it the first place, just too many cameras.

It take any force and I don't think your supposed to really even touch the QL mechanism. Just lay your film in and close the back.
