Exactly. I suspect I'd like the Upstrap even better, and for the same reason. But I'm not gonna spend $32 each plus shipping for new staps when I like the Leica ones just fine.

I like the Leica strap on my M6 as well. I use the Upstrap on my RD1 along with a Gordon Coale wriststrap!

I need 10 straps for my remaining 10 RF cameras that are without a strap. Should I take a strap off one camera and use it for another? Buying 10 straps is too costly.

The Domkes are twelve bucks. A&A has $120 straps. The Domkes work fine.....
 
A&A make cloth straps in two lengths, which one is th 90cm.? I have one of each, and the short one is great in warm weather, but tends to catch on coats and layers. I wear it across the chest and it keeps the camera in the crook of my arm. The long one is long enough to keep a second camera under the short strap without danger of striking together, but it holds the camera closer to my hip, rather than at my elbow.

I like them because they require no maintenance whatsoever, and they don't stiffen up in the cold. (It's 15 degrees right now at my house. Farenheit!)
 
Personally I don't use a strap on any of my Leicas. I find that it gets in the way.

Because of that, it seems that I have accumulated a number of straps.

Domke Gripper straps aren't too bad, but I find that they grip too well and pull against my shirt too much. The cloth is also kind of stiff. Also hard to wrap around one's hand, as the wider cloth area is joined to nylon bits by a D-ring.

Voigtlander straps (that come with the camera, not the A&A ones), are made of a lousy feeling nylon. And they have a neoprene strip which irritates my skin...

Leica straps are overpriced, and they have a plastic bit that is too stiff to wrap around one's hand. I like the attachment system though.

If I had to use a strap, I have one made by a Korean company called LuxeCase which is just nice. Simple cloth strap, not unlike the A&A, which makes it light and you can wrap it around your hand easily (not stiff). Also has leather ring protectors. I'm unsure of the price, but if it's comparable to A&A, I think that it's a good buy.
 
for street shooting other humans, stealth is necessary. the "cha-ching, cha-ching" sound of metal ringing against metal has ruined a few opportunities for me. as such i use nothing or a tiny luigi neck strap, for it has no metal, only leather laced through the lugs and back into itself. a quiet, supple and stealthy strap🙂

I bought three of those A&A black cloth straps from Rich Pinto @ Photovillage. They are identical to the Voigtlander straps I bought from Stephen Gandy, only the imprinted leather patch is different.

I really like the length and width of these straps, they are perfect for my Bessas, or my new M2. I normally wear it over my left shoulder, and it works well for me.
Sometimes I hang it around my neck, but, really not that often. Works well both ways and very comfortable all day.
 
Domke Gripper WITH those rotational turn buckles. Then i can use the rubberized side on slippery shirt slopes and the non-rubbered side on my leather vest or skin. And there is no problem when picking up the camera about the "right" side of the strap. Try them.
 
One heretic more.

my M2 is hanging on one of these cheap nikon thin strap.

I even wander where they can be bought if at all. I think these were found in camera kits.

anyhow, a perfect strap if you are not "Leica religious"

I think the number is N12 or something like that and it might be obsolete by now.
The strap is black woven nylon, 12mm wide at the ends and 25mm on the shoulder, with a strip of rough-side out leather for grip. I like Domkes on my SLRs but find them too bulky on RF cameras. Around the lugs are some anonymous leather rub pads that the photo shop found in its junk drawer.

The 'cheap' Domke that ocean7 linked to appears to be very similar to what I'm using.
