Hello everyone.

A while back I shot some with a film and I have no idea what it is. This is what I can tell you and please see image attached.

1- The film has numbers running through it. In the middle and not every frame but every so often.

2- From what I can remember, the film stock was thick or felt stiff. It didn't feel like a regular photo film such as Tri-X or Foma or what have you and came in a semi unmarked cassette.

3- I think the stock had something to do with sound.

4- Super high contrast.

Any help will be appreciated.

Guy.

I'm 99% sure it is Kodak Panchromatic sound recording film . I've shot a few rolls of it, and everything matches your description.

Thank you Andrea. Sounds about right.

On another note, I have three of your books and I love them! Great great stuff!

Oh, thanks, Guy! BTW, if you happen to have more of that sound recording film, try it on a dull day (haze, fog, low clouds, etc.). That's where its super high contrast gives fantastic results, in my experience. In situation with harsh light / strong contrast it's hardly usable.
