Hello,
just got this good looking TLR from a coworker. I think it should be version 4 or 5 not quite sure. Can anyone tell me which version exactly and about how much it is worth?

taking lens: Xenar 3,5/75
thanks

With that serial number it should be a V. Very nice cameras. Worth $100-$150, maybe?

SHould be a plain V (fixed finder). Mine was just ~100 further in the serial no.
Excellent machine.
If it is cosmetically good and also works flawlessy, at least 150$ worth.

Thanks for the info. Cosmetically it looks like its been taken good care of. It still had a film in it! which I think is the best thing about getting old cameras. My coworker had no clue that there was a film in there and how he would have taken it out. he was pretty impressed that I knew what to do
I am going to have it developed - cant wait to see some old photos. then I'll shoot a roll or two with it and may be I'll buy it from him. We'll see.

how can I test if the shutter is working? does it only work when the film is in?
and what are the M X V settings?

The shutter will work when there's no film in the camera. If the shutter is a Compur Rapid, it might be set for M sync only.

Dim Bulb
M = flashbulb
X = electronic flash
V = self timer
If you set it to "V" and start it, the flash synch will stop and remain set at X, for electronic flash.
