Help in translation needed

Hi folks,

I need some help in translation. I have papers for a FED 1b from 1935 but I can't read it because it's cyrillic 🙂 Is anybody here who can translate it to me?

Hmm.. you need translation of whole camera passport?

Briefly, this paper says that FED with serial #13748 and FED lens 50/3.5 (Tessar type) with serial #14280 are adjusted and checked for 1 m and infinity on the 9th of December (?) or November 1935 and camera was sold and warranted (right above is stamp of photog shop ) on the 8th of April 1936

Thanks, that's the information I wanted to have. So it is a technical passport and everything was ok when it was sold. Btw. it's working very well today, the've made a good job 72 years ago 🙂

When dealing with Russian sellers and camera collectors, they all call the inspection slip a "passport".

Is that a literal translation? In English it would usually be called a "quality control certificate", "inspection slip" or something like that.

How do you derive "passport", which I understand to be a travel document?

Well, this exact paper is called `Аттестат` (certificate), later in 50-80s such paper was called `Паспорт` (passport) of lens or camera.

Passport in Russian is:
- identity card.
i.e. we got Citizen`s passport for all-around legal purposes and foreign passport for travels.

- certificate for something: camera, lens, some vehicle

In truth, I wasn`t in army, because of bad eyes, but answer `starting from soviet school 18 years ago and simultaineously practising in software exporting Company today` will be just fine.
