The L is a wonderful first place to start. While the adapter will give you access to lenses you already have I would STRONGLY recommend that you look into a CV 25/4 LTM (with finder). All current CV lenses are great, but IMHO this one is world class. It's made for zone focusing (aka guessing), sharp, flare resistant and SMALL. Small is what makes the combo perfect to carry everywhere. When I started with mine a long time ago I thought f4 was too slow, but then I learned to get creative. I found that finding a door frame or a chair top worked great for show shutter speeds inside. Outside the lens is a dream, close her down and shoot. The size of the combo allowed me to stick her into a small belt pouch and carry it anywhere I wanted without feeling weighed down.
