I'm asking for help - on several recent rolls that I've put through my OM-4 I've noticed lomething like lighter areas emerging near the sprockets of the film /the perforation - I don't know what is the right term/.

Here is one shot - with not the worst leaks.

They appear only on one side of the film. Is it the camera at fault (do I need new seals?) or is it my developing tank (I use Jobo 1520) or is it something wrong with my developement (I use mostly Rodinal 1+50 for 30-60min, according to how I've exposed the film). 😕

Thank you for help in advance - this has already ruined a couple of what might be my "keepers".. 🙁 :bang:

You mentioned Rodinal and uneven densities forming close the film perforations. Then 30-60 minute (stand?) development. Rodinal + long development + low agitation = uneven densities.

The uneven densities are seen more close to the perforations than anywhere else, because (?) developer tends to flow more in those places- there are holes where physical transfer can happen.

Thank you Roger and ZorkiKat!
It is as I thought, I've just checked my TriX negatives develop at shorter times and they seem to be OK. So I think I'll try to use some other developer for pushing, Diafine maybe...
Anyway, I'm sort of glad that it is (again) my fault. 🙂
