Help me before I do something stupid--Sell my G2 Kit

I have a black G2 kit with the black 28, 45, and 90mm lenses that came with the aluminum carrying case, along with the TLA flash and some other goodies. I bought it new several years ago through a broker in Germany.

Anyway, I've pretty much gone digital, although I've been keeping the G2 kit for old times' sake. It's in nearly perfect condition.

Recently, I've been upgrading the lenses I use with my digital SLR, and I've been considering selling the G2 kit to help defray the expense. But when I get out that G2 and shoot a few transparencies, I realize what a wonderful instrument it is, and what rich images those Zeiss lenses can produce. And I also realize how beautiful images on film can be.

I'm not well-heeled enough to be a collector, but parting with the G2 could very well bring on seller's remorse.

Please help me before I do something really stupid!

If you don't need the money, don't sell. If it is "something stupid" then you have your answer. I have an R-D1 but I also keep a Bessa R3A body as I know I might want to shoot film again..but then again if you think you will never use it enough to justify having it well then sell. You can always pick up an inexpensive G2 silver body and a 45 lens

Seriously, you don't need to be a collector to appreciate what you have. If your camera can take pictures that impress you after you have shot digital, that says something. Maybe it is worthwhile to hold on to it for some more time - atleast until digital is on par with 35mm film.

I have two G2 bodies right now with most accessories I need and I also own some Canon Digital equipment. However, I still use my G2's on a regular basis because Digital might be convenient and very nice, but there is something about film which makes me wanna hold on to my film rangefinders and SLR's.

I've been 95% digital the past 4 years, but I still pull out my G1 and Agfa 100 every once in awhile to get a look I can't get with digital.

Wow, a black G2 kit, very cool. I just listed my chrome G2 and 35 and 45 in the classifieds because it wasn't being used lately. I like my Leicas, but there are many things about the Contax that I'll miss, such as the lenses, the shutter sound, aperture priority..oh well.
