Help me choose the best Rangefinder. Nikon, Bushnell, Leupold, ...

This is my first post and I am not sure if this is the correct site for this, but I figured I would give it a try. I am in the market for a compact laser rangefinder that I will use for hunting primarily and golf secondary. From what I have read the technology for the two different sports so I want to make sure I get one that will suffice for both. Here is what I am looking at...

Bushnell Scout 1000 w/ ARC
Leupold RX-II
Nikon Monarch 800
I *may* even consider the Leica CRF 900 but that is more than what I want to spend.

I like the ability to adjust for angles, which the Bushnell and Leupold have and the Nikon and Leica don't.

What are your thoughts? Is there a different one in this price range that will work for both?

I bought my Bushnell Elite 1500 [pre-ARC mode] after researching and testing it and the Nikon and Leupold comparables. I found it a better bang for the buck at the time and it served me well. Check Optics Planet and SWFA, which has a demo list where one can realize pretty good savings. SWFA also has a user forum that might better deal with LRF issues than here.

This is actually the wrong place to discuss rangefinders per se, this is a site about rangefinder photography.

The site's name is a little misleading.

You may be better off looking at golf websites and hunting websites for what you need.

That said, a laser rangefinder can actually be rather useful in photography as well (e.g. when using tele lenses, scale-focus cameras or adapted SLR lenses on rangefinder bodies). Certainly more useful and precise than those 1950s Watameter-style external optical rangefinders that get discussed here every now and then.
