Okay, a couple of new pics. Working with photoshop and setting the language of the computer I came up with these, which should contain the proper spelling...

Personally, I like the original Kiev engraving more than any of your mockups. However, I really like the Volga suggestion. That's what I would do.

In addition, taking a Kiev and painting KGB or whatever on it would be like taking an Argus and painting CIA on it. At best, it's tacky.

By the way, most of those spell "Kieb" not "Kiev", hope you're aware of that. That letter is Cyrillic "B".
