Help needed with Nikon 28Ti

I just bought a nice condition Nikon 28Ti from Keh...
I am using it for about 2 rolls now and found out a (not sure if it's a) problem.
* Camera turn on and shoot fine but If I don't shoot or touch the shutter release button then 30 seconds later, camera will go to sleep, it will not wake up until I have to turn the camera OFF and turn ON again.
Is it normal? I tried to look into manual and online but found no clue.
If anybody have it and using it please confirm to me if that behavior is normal because I can still return it.

My 35Ti woke up on a button press. Are you using a fresh battery?

The 28Ti is supposed to wake up with a half-depress of the shutter button. Return it.

Yes, I tried many brand of Batteries and all are fresh one, still no wake up 🙁
It going back tomorrow, so sad, it's a nice looking camera and condition was 9.5/10 🙁
