been searching this site for the past 8 hours now but with no luck.
i've visited this site a few months ago but dunno why i can't find it on google now
why i need help? i can't find it and i can't sleep because of this
anyone know or familiar with this site? the site have this instruction/step by step on how to restore/repaint a fed 2 or similar.
argh! i know it's my fault i didn't able to bookmark the site. if my memory serves me well.. the site restored/repainted a fed 2b (or similar) with a black or olive green paint. oh vintage love

Posted one about stripping chrome off an old flakey FED-1 and repainting it black. But deleted it, because I felt it was irrelevant here.. You'll find the same topic, verbatim with some more additional info in our "home forum"...

I think that I've seen the Fed-2 restoring site you propably mean. No, I haven't bookmarked it either but I think that I found it through Flickr.

you may want to consider an alternative method to sanding for removing the original chrome finish. aside from being tedious, it may actually cause some parts of the metal to thin. and it will be difficult to remove the chrome in the tight spots. reverse electrolysis may be a better method.
