Help wirh QL17

What do I do about a roll of film stuck in my QL17? I finished th roll this morning and when I started to rewind the film into the cartridge, the rewind was hard to move iin addition to making a loud grinding sound. Needless to say I stopped the operation. But how do I get the film out?

The black button on the bottom of the camera! You might have to keep the button pressed down while you rewind! Try that!

Oops! Operator error on my part. This is a result of spending too much time with a D90 and not enough with a RF. I for got about the button!!
