Help with Rodinal and Diafine

Seems I cann't order Rodinal and Diafine from US, because restrictions for Oversea shipping. I saw Rodinal and Diafine in Adorama in powder form. Also, they don't block any country world wide. Now, the two developers are powder form. Is that means they differ from the original badly?

If you want the original, liquid chemicals, try www.fotoimpex.de instead. I haven't seen any shipping restrictions there.

Try Camulet for Diafine, they ship anywhere. As for Rodinal, good luck.

I ordered 500 ml Rodinal - 7.56 Eu and 2X950 ml Diafine for 14.12 Eu, but 40 Eu for shippment!!!!

You could try this ebay seller. I have got Rodinal from him before, and with shipping it cost me 20 USD per 500 ml bottle (5 bottles shipped to Singapore). I thought it was pretty decent considering the shelf life of Rodinal. 🙂

Diafine is a powder, Rodinal is a liquid, and since it has NaOH in its contents mail are not very keen in transporting it.
I have recipe for Diafine if you want to make your own

i thought diafine WAS powder originally!

I got mine from the US, freestyler, no problem shipping it (but was not cheap, the shipping, and, they managed to get 30% import duty as well 🙁 )

I ordered 1 Diafine for 2X950 ml Konzentrat. I think I'll got 950 ml A bath and 950 ml B bath. If so, it is not so cheap. Is that right?

Diafine came in powder "pouches" to make 2x950 (1quart) of each developer
that should be about $10 + Shipping
It looked like this:

At 16.8 Euros it is not so cheap, but also that last an awful long time.
Always remeber to use Bath A, return to bottle, then Bath B (no agitation)

its not cheap but it's not a singleshot developer.
Even when ity gets dirty and ugly it does its job well.

Diafine may or may not work for you
It works best IMHO with TriX exposed at 1000 and PlusX

Yeah, good images with Diafine elsewhere. BUT then again is not the developer or the camera that makes a good picture
