Here's a bargain: O-series $158,900.00

A real bargain, a COPY of an old camera for only 158k USD ? Think if the Chinese made a copy of the copy ! It would sell like hot cakes for half a million !

Is it a reproduction? I read that the case is... but I read things wrong often. In any case that's a whole lot of money - pretty camera though.

Is it the replica or the real one? I don't know. I thought there was a replica of one of these early models made recently, but they were priced at $1000 or thereabouts.

There've been several series of Nullserie. Check the serial number on this one! I'm not sure that genuine Nullserie cameras even came in boxes, or indeed, that they were known as Leica instead of Leca. Or whether the word 'Leca' had even been coined...

Cheers,

R.

It is the replica. And the seller will presumably correct the price by 99% as soon as he notices his error, where it would be half way between list price and the (lower) current market price.

As far as originals are concerned, there were 31 0-series made and most of them are accounted for. It is hard to estimate their market value, but $150,000 seems too high going by my gut feeling.

I bought my first Leica from eBay seller 'scranor!'

It was a really good transaction actually ... a very nice SS M3 which I eventually sold!

Those Leica O's are nice but I think I'll stick with my 1930 1a ... it's the real deal!

Sweet little outfit... maybe the seller's 0 key got stuck when he was entering the BIN price...

So, do the replica Null-serie have coated optics in the Leitz Anastigmat, or are they authentic un-coated glass ?

The big thing that would keep me from wanting one as a user would be the need to cap the lens before winding-on to the next frame...
