Hi, I just got yesterday the rare (800 made in 1999) Konica Hexanon 60mm/f1.2. First I put it on my M8 and had a real problem focusing. In fact DOF is smaller by 20% from Noctilux 50/1. So eg. at 1m/1.2 it is 1.45cm sand Nocti 1.75cm. See below. Then I put it on my RD1. It is way easier for me to frame and focus. Which is strange, because DOF at 1 meter f1.2 is 1 centimetr! I keep my both eyes open to frame (1:1 VF) and then focus. It'll stay on my RD1 as portrait/detail glass. Below an excercise in focus by M8 and then the lens on RD1. Next excercise in focus on RD1.

Thanks for posting. The 60/1.2 is probably my favorite lens on the R-D1 based on overall feel, handling, and performance, with the Canon RF 50/1.2 being a close second. Every time I get tempted by the M8, I hear something that makes me appreciate my R-D1 more. The 1:1 VF is great, and when you add a 1.3x Megaperls magnifier, it makes focusing fast lenses even easier. I keep it on all the time, even when I use a 28mm lens--I don't need to see the whole frame because I don't frame that tightly anyway. Enjoy the new lens!
