I'm interested in the Hexar AF but before doing so, I'm wondering:
1) How have these cameras aged? I hear that for some cameras, the electronics go haywire.
2) Are they generally reliable? With a lot of automation, I'd be a bit concerned.
2) Is there anyone to service these cameras? I'm not so familiar with servicing cameras, but it seems that mechanical cameras are more easily serviced.
Hexars seem neat, but an expensive paper weight isn't something I want.

Hexar AFs are generally reliable. One weak point could be the shutter button which may become 'sticky'. Even that is relatively easy to fix, see: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107262
