Hi, All,

Has anyone had experience using one of these JapanExposures adapters to replace or change a diopter viewfinder lens on a Konica Hexar RF? (I'm not in cahoots with the vendor.)

I have ordered one of these, and it looks like I can buy a Leica viewfinder lens to plop on a Hexar RF...

MS-MAG Konica Hexar RF adapter - [Hexar RF MS-MAG] US$39.32

"Adapter to use MS-MAG x1.35, MS-MAG x1.15 (for Leica M, not 1.3N) and other Leica viewfinder accessories including Leica Camera's own diopter lenses and magnifiers on Konica Hexar RF cameras."

Thank you,

Robt.

I had one. It works fine - and yes, the Leica diopter or magnifier just screws on. Just be careful not to knock a magnifier hard because the adapter is a friction fit over the rubberized eyepiece of the Hexar RF.

Thank you, Mr. Dante!

May I ask....

If I have a Hexar RF with a -3 diopter viewfinder lens, do you think it would it be correct for me to place a +2 Leica diopter lens over it, to achieve a more "normal" -1 diopter result?

Or....is there any way to simply use a -1 Leica all by itself with the adapter, by perhaps breaking the glass out of the Hexar RF -3 diopter that is already on the camera?

Thank you for any ideas you may have...

...Also...

Maybe it would be good to add a little Blue LocTite adhesive, when attaching the adapter to the existing rubber viewfinder lens.

If Blue LocTite will adhere to the applicable surfaces... :bang:
