very friendly around here, if you were on my off road truck board and said you just had a heart attack the next post would be discussing "parting out your truck" 😀

I wish "fair winds and following seas" for you

Thanks. The doctor said that no surgery will be necessary since he got there so fast. He is under observation and will have to undergo rehab for a few weeks.

First off, Joe, you and I haven't previously corresponded but I've been reading RFF long enough to know that you are RFF. Sorry to hear of your attack and glad to hear you are on the mend. Just a couple of weeks ago I read the thread of your and the other RFF'ers adventure here to NYC and wished I had been "clued in" at the time so as to join you! Sadly, I think you'll have to "pass" on the pastrami on your next visit "home".

Hoot: Your thoughts should remind all of us post-50 (or much more!) "geezers" to remember to take an aspirin a day and keep another one available.

To those who are unaware: if you, or a companion, is having a heart attack - get one simple aspirin tablet ingested into the person and THEN call for the ambulance! The blood thinner effects of aspirin (which occur almost immediately) will greatly increase the chances of survival.

I'm already looking foward to it. And we'll all carry some aspirin - oh, and also only eat the (yeck!) lean pastrami!
