I am sorry that you should feel this way.
There is no possible way that Germany can lose.
The team has a huge psychological advantage that is more powerful than skill and luck combined.
For me the victory is already history.

That sure was ugly, ruben - Italian football needs a good clean up. Me, I´m crossing fingers for our neighbours, the Swedes today (vs. England) - actually three of my favourite Swedes are playing that match today - Wilhelmson, Linderoth (both used to play for my local Norwegian team, Stabaek, and did good) and Ljungberg, Freddy with no hair, star of our beloved Arsenal. It´s going to be a great match! Believe me!

On the alert
They'll be getting Wayne Rooney warmed up now. Throwing some raw meat into his room and poking him with blunt sticks.

Germany 3, Ecuador 0
I was pulling for Ecuador, but German precision and ball control won the day. Ecuador looked very tentative in the first half and did not show the offensive flair seen in its previous two games. Germany's passes were very accurate and they dominated the ball. The score could have been worse, but Mora made some good saves in the second half. Hope Ecuador recovers and plays better in the next round.

The Swedes need Wilhelmsson... While the Cole's are very good offensively on the left flank, someone like Wilhelmsson could create openings there. Unlike on the other flank where Ljungberg is faced with two defensive flank players, Beckham and Carragher.
I think Paraguay is leading in their game, so chances are we'll see England vs Ecuador and Sweden vs Germany in the next round.

first half game:
Very Good English performance, BUT against a very weak rival. In this case it means a timely training game for the UK. Rooney looks fantastic. The whole team looks great at the offensive, defenders untested. What exactly is Beckham doing there ?

Swedish awaken at second half and arise hope for their next match against Germany. Brittish show unconvincing second half against equal rival...

England got lucky!
I feel sorry for Sweden now, they played an excellent second half and deserved the win. I'm afraid they won't beat Germany next round, wish they had won. Two times they hit the bar, then there was a ball stopped on the line...

That was an intended provocation targeted to you... in order to weaken a bit the pro English block (WFC only).
Still friends,
Ruben
PS: I take note, British, not Brittish.

You will recall that I'm not actually pro-English.....
That's exactly what I am looking for, kindly give us more.

I don't like veal, but how do I like German veal cutlet with those whatchamacallit potatoes and sauce. Mmmmm. And the braunschweiger (I'm sure I mispronounced it), I don't care how heavy it is, no matter how early or late it is, on fresh rolls.Socke said:Not Sauerkraut this time of the year! Now is the time for asparagus, new potatos and veal cutlet or ham with a large amount of molten butter. White vine or beer to your liking.
Tastes great, good for your hips and improves your bloodpresure, too!
I should stop by the German bar here in town and watch a Germany match...not before going to the really authentic Mexican bistro (we have one!) and scream our lungs out.
