Hey folks, World Football Cup started

Now...looks like they did take a breather, and it shows in their game now. Australia still upset over the refs' calls.

1-0

So sad.... :(

We had so many chances but failed to complete, Bresciano's volley...Kewell had an open goal... and Viduka was unlucky with his attempt to chip over Dida...aaaaaggghhhh!!!!

I think our (AUSTRALIA) team played well and wasn't overwhelmed by the occasion or the opponents...pity the same couldn't be said for the ref though.

Moito sorry, my Aussie friends. Both teams played well during the second half, but I've seen Brazil play better, but perhaps that's part of their strategy? Australia had some great shots.

Now, how comfy. Walk in to the game, and you just score a few minutes later. Right, said Fred.

I know, that ref had some selective vision. I don't blame the Aussies for the sentiment. Maybe that's why he gave a yellow card to what's-his-name from Brazil, he must've felt unappreciated by whatever he said.

I think their performance has been atrocious - they are handing out red & yellow cards like candy.... IMHO

Robhino got the yellow card for back chat after a free kick but it was rather late in the game and hardly balanced the books....

ANYWAYS...

Off to play Croatia next.... fingers crossed yet again.... :)

Yes, Australia had quite a few scoring chances ... too bad they couldn't finish on some of those.

The 1st half was terrible from both teams, awfull finishing from the australians too, the 2nd half was a lot better, brazilians did veyr well and deserved their score, the australians were so unlucky, specially with kewell and Bresciano's incredible misses...

I'd love to see Australia playing in the next round.

Why doesn't Kaka wear #2?

And a big recommendation for all state side, turn off Brent Musberger and watch the Univision pre game show. It is worth the sights :).

lol -- they know their "audience". The commentators are in the loud tradition, but always always follow the game and keep you in the game, unlike some other networks. Perhaps the beer industry is behind it? ;) Nah, maybe not. I'm having my Blue Moon, and the game is as good with or without it.

I'm watching all the games on Univision ... it's a lot more exciting than the broadcasts in English. But Spanish is my second language ... monolingual English speakers may not feel the same way. ;)

Nothing beats watching the games in a brazilian bar :)

And I'm off again, gota finish a roll with J-8 comaparison shots

Bien fait, Henry (et pas de "Chibomba")! The Korea team has the same agility I saw four years ago. This game is a lot faster, so far, than the previous one today. They are both very determined.

Very very true. And when it's Brazil vs. you-name-it, if it's a final game, you'll see virtually all the Latin Americans rounding up behind the Brazilians. Mexicans and Venezuelans specially love Brazil.
