Hey folks, World Football Cup started

For the American members not to have mentioned it already, I can understand. For our many European and rest of the World members, I am not sure I can forgive.

The funny thing our USA members are missing, perhaps is not the Cup itself, but the politically correct peace promoting promo being attached to TV transmissions, showing all world regional fighting factions declaring cease fire on behalf of allowing all peoples around the globe to enjoy the games. What a shame my Israeli fellows see it on TV while heavily bombarding Gaza Strip. As for the Palestinian behaviour, it is up to them to speak their own.

Today at least our family had a relatively peaceful day. Take into account I was born in Argentina, while my wife in Brazil.

Relatively I said, because against all propaganda showing the women drama during the Mundial, my wife was by far more stressed than me to have all the necessary food equipment for the matches started today. On the other hand all my sons gathered at home in an explosive athmosphere of joy, culminating in a full hour of laughing and shouting at each other an at TV too, at the same time the first game was going on, and throwing at each other much of the table food and accesories.

I think I will propose new member Mike Goldberg, who is versatile in video shooting too, to make our own RFF documentary promo, about how we at the RFF keep peace during the World Cup. I am afraid it will not be "politically correct". Perhaps next Mundial.

Cheers,
Ruben

Germany and Uruguay won today right?

Who is the big player on the French Team who was injured last week?

You guys have to help educate us US guys.

Press here is interested as the US Team is ranked in the Top 10, but I have not seen a prediction that the US will make the elimination round. Down year for Italy and Germany is the buzz I heard on another show.

Is it Brazil's Cup this year?

Today Poland lost 2-0 to Ecuador. It is a day of mourning in my house - no picture taking until tomorrow.

My heart says Deutschland, my head says Brazil. My German family and friends are really excited to have the World Cup at home this summer, but they're dubious about their team's chances. I'm just pumped to see some good games.

What price Australia wins the World Cup for the First time. Before England wins it for Second?????? And England plays Australia in Rugby Union to-night in Sydney, still it only took them 40 years to win the Rugby World Cup!!!

glad to say i'll (USA) be venturing over the pond to attend games late next week with my wife (Mexico), and two best friends (Czech Republic & Ecuador). while it's true that most americans aren't paying much attention, there are many who are devoted fans, and get up for the world cup like the olympics. i can't wait to be there in person. the only thing i haven't decided is what camera to bring in to the games (right now leaning towards canonet).

Bloody amazing we qualified! I haven't been watching the lead up games, but they must have played some great soccer... Beating Uruguay means that we play for the first time since 1974! As it is Oceania hasn't been represented since 1982... I have us down to beat Japan, but the odds are probably against us... Every time Germany hosts the World Cup (1974 & 2006) we have qualified, but we have never won a match there, or even scored a goal... Good on them for just being there I say!

Peter

ps As for the poms, well we should probably wish them luck! They have a serious chance, but they might need a little help from above...

Here it's 10 past six and I just came home from a party in a brazilian pub. Yes, we had football, too.

There was a reason why I support Brazil, but I've forgotten at the moment

Dead right physi, but the boys will have to lift a bit, if they want to move into the second round. As for the poms, their best chance yet and hopfully No hand of God!! I watched a bit of the Poland vs Ecuador, brilliant first goal by Ecuador. Roll on the World Game!!!

Probably because the coach replaced most of the good players who carried the team this far.

What did you expect, a miracle?

Djibril Cisse - plays for my favourite English team, Liverpool (home of The Beatles). Of course, the tournament is the poorer without Scotland.

Cisse sadly broke his leg the three days ago. Second break in two years.

I can't resist the charm, i'm inlove with football :D

I had to watch it through polish and slovenian channels though, i've decrypted french channels(a language i'm comfortable with), but they are changing their pins these days, i don't have astra sat, i can't watch the free deutsch channels(i understand a bit)...

But who cares, i'm watching anyway :D I called the satellite guy, he's coming to install an extra LNB, maybe i'll get more options
