maybe my intense prayers, sign of the cross & kissing my baptism medal with jesus on it helped the italy... not sure.. but maybe other millions were doing just like me in this moment *giggles* ;)

Would Jesus have dived?

All I have to say is BULL SH*T ! ! ! I give that guy a 10 for his form & another 10 for the entry... Nice dive buddy!

Peter

- sorry, still haven't calmed down...

No football for me today, five M*A*S*H episodes in a row in TV tonight :)

I am not sure it was a dive, It looked to me that his left leg made some contact with the defender's back, but I guess we'll see pretty soon anyway.

It was not a dive, and i don't think that Australia was that good to deserve to win this game anyway...

I am under the same impression, but sice I am italian I am probably biased.

However as I said we will see soon, since if TV evidence is enough to prove that it was a dive the guy is going to get a long ban under new FIFA guidelines, even if the referee did not see the dive.

The good news, I picked 7 of the final 8 correctly.

The bad news, I picked Spain to win the whole thing.

Sounded like France was dominating today and that Ghana carried the play, but Brazil made the plays.

I too picked Spain to win the world cup, during the initial stages it really looked good!
Oh well, now I pick Germany as the most likely winner (hoping to get it wrong)

The way things are going, it's Italy vs. Brazil.

But if things shape up, it'll be Germany vs. Brazil.

Well, I was so surprised by the France win, that I'm holding my bet when Brazil and France meet (la revancha!)

A todos mis amigos de España: lo siento mucho. Me hubiera alegrado mucho verlos avanzar. :(

Ok I am prepared to admit that Grossi did accentuate the foul, but I am still convinced that sprawling yourself in front of a player to try and stop him from reaching the goal is a foul.
Exactly. I thought it was a penalty. The ref was about 3 yards away and there was no hesitation in his decision.

Didn't see either of today's games (yet) but I'm kind of surprised Spain are out. So I see we are still on for an Argentina - Brazil final... ;)
