Hey Hey! Hey Ho! We're number 2872!

It is most impressive RFF gear dedicated thread I have seen :).

Took E-PL1 with this lens after Canon 500D with 24mm pancake and day before with M-E and 28 Ultron.
This kit is the winner...

Do you leave yours at the hyper focal distance?
I’ve been thinking of getting one of these for my EM10 but you have to shop carefully, they are often more expensive now than when new.
Another option would be to just get the 9mm body cap lens. Yes, they have fisheye distortion but the 9mm focal length would provide greater DoF and they are available new for about $100.
Samples I’ve seen look like they have higher resolution than the 15mm so that one could also get by with a moderate amount of cropping if necessary.

This is the 15mm f8 Olympus body cap lens on E-PL1 images. It has 30cm and else focus switch. Everything is in the DOF and no ugly distortions. Resolution is totally fine. I have Leica if I need high quality pictures.

You could find this lens and camera on this image :) :

No high ISO, motion blur images from this lens on E-PL1:

I checked eBay. They are as low as fifty bucks. Including shipping.
Not bad for lens, not cap.

Cheap Thambar for your m4:3?

Cheap Thambar for your m4:3?

Have a EM10 for about 3 months but just now purchased a OM to m4:3 mount adapter. Thought I’d try out my old silver nose 85 f2 Zuiko.
Yikes, at f2 that’s some veiling flare, and a tele lens hood makes no difference. It’s kinda like those old star trek episodes where the heroine is all soft focus in the scene.
Mostly cleans up by f4 but cheese, wide open is useless unless that is the effect your going after.

Missed this thread over the years I have been lurking in the background.
I have both the 15mm f8 and the fisheye body cap lens and use them with my lumix GM1 and GM5 as go-to pocket cameras for everyday use.
My copy of the 15mm is so poor it is only used with "filter effects" to make the most it can give.
After seeing the other excellent other results on this thread I will look for a better copy..maybe lucky.
My fisheye body cap lens is "quite sharp" and useable...but a fisheye.

Well, after complaining about the price I found a white one for $40 so, after reviewing this thread a bit more I pulled the trigger.
*White*....ugh!
I guess, for the price, I can live with it.

Check another threads, many of us have paid ten, hundred more to post at RFF something dull, but Leica labeled.

Ko.Fe. you should see what I’ve mounted to 4X5. Several odd ball lenses that have (mostly) come my way as gifts from friends who know I like to mess around with old cameras.
Lenses that were never designed to cover 4X5 (and some don’t quite cover), but it’s great fun and something to tinker with while isolating at home.

The little lens came today, too bad the dog has already had her walk.
My wife’s first reaction,
‘Does it come in any other color?’ (It’s white.)
‘Yes, but I’m not paying a premium for black.’
Anyway, this day fades and f8 @ 1600 indoors is about 1/15th so I’ll wait till tomorrow to go out for a walk. Plenty wide for snapshots, and no more than 4X more expensive than current prices on single use cameras. Think it will be a fun toy.
