If you're looking for an inspiration fix, the Edward Weston exhibit at the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha runs through August 13. Of course Weston didn't use an RF, and he may have been kind of a creepy guy in some ways, but the way he stuck it out as a photographer through thick and thin is impressive...

Popular Photography did an article on lighting food for advertising a few years ago. I think I still have it at home. Might still be on their website someplace.
