I love the thrifty folks who ignore the OPs wish to spend $! He wants something sexy I think!
Question for remaining users, not collectors. If any...
I see Pentax, Olympus and Minolta cameras in this thread.
Are they still good for everyday use?
Or they are once in a while cameras now? How about service?

the FM3a... it's got the best focusing screen of the series (in fact, I've pimped out both of my FEs with FM3a screens).
Is there a big difference with the FM3a screen?
Any exposure compensation?
I ordered an FM3a screen for my FE2 that has not arrived yet...
I would have bought that 40 if it were the later chipped version. Good luck with your sale!
You can't tell just by looking: I just spent time fussing with an X700 and ended up replacing 3 tantalum capacitors, which are supposed to be the "good" ones.Took one of mine in for repair and the technician sniffed it and said it wasn't the condenser. Rang the next day and said it was one of the older ones without the problem and was easily fixed. It was an X-300 from memory.
It's kinda funny that most everyone is ignoring your request.
The Contax S2 series really does not have a premium build apart from the shell.
If you want high end then Leica R6/7/8/9, SL2, or Nikon F2 Titan, F3P or F3 Limited.
There are no 40mm lenses for the Leica R series, but there is a very sweet and very expensive 35 1.4 ROM which is about $5000.
With Nikon you've got the fantastic CV 40 Ultron, and the nice 45 2.8P. I have both and prefer the CV.
🙄
Actually, it is you who didn't read the thread.

Hmmmm, something titanium and with a 40mm lens modified at enormous expense to fit and match it. Sounds fun.
