Hi Stephanie

Hi.

I'm okay. I'll write about the last few hours in my blog as soon as I can actually get up the courage to do it. It's been quite a month. I'm not taking many pictures right now so I haven't come around here. I'll try to catch up in the next couple days while I have days off work.

Call off the dogs, boys. I'm here and I won't have another prolonged absence from anything if I have something to say about it.

I've had some trouble sleeping lately and I kinda broke this morning. Called in to work and went to the doctor to get something to help me sleep tonight and took a nap (short but rather helpful) this afternoon. I'm feeling better tonight but it'll be touch and go the next few days. The boyfriend and I are supposed to go to Ames tomorrow to see a movie and stuff but I may ask to stay home and rent a movie or two instead.

Kinda been hell month for me. Thanks to everyone who has been patient. I feel better knowing that I do have some people worrying about me. 😛

Like I said before..
one of the reasons I like this place; I can describe it in one word:

Community

Get some rest Steph.. relax... and know that whatever it is, it too shall pass.

Dave

Naps are awesome. Naps are the bomb. When I decide I'm ready to be elected President of the United States, I'll unveil my campaign platform, which is based on formal recognition of the Right to Nap, including federally mandated nap times at all workplaces, and I'll be swept into office in a landslide.

I've been saying the same thing for years " When I am elected you will receive your blue mat in the mail"

Heh, I blogged. It's not as bad as it sounds...rereading the post I made it sound like my world was coming to an end. I'll be keeping it up to date with what's going on. I have a lot of friends online and it's the way I keep them abreast of what goes on in my life...it ends up rather revealing. On the bright side, it's a great place to vent.

Oh, and by the way, I'm going to recommend that if you're thinking about trying Lunesta to make sure that you have some sort of prescription coverage first. It's about 4 bucks per pill otherwise.

$4 a pill?!? $120 a month That sure would keep me up at night... I remember my college days; $20 was enough to eat for a whole week (with questionable nutritional value).

Just good to see you're slowly back in cybershape; just keep your real shape healthy. We're pulling fer ya.

Um, yeah, it did kind of sound like that, what with terms such as "breakdown" and the S-word (already had one close call with that earlier in the year with an in-person friend in Iowa... hmmm, Iowa... maybe it's something in the water over there...) So I'm glad to hear it's not as bad as it sounds!

When you're wondering what to tell people at work or whatever, remember that depression isn't just a state of mind or something caused by being set on a cold potty when you were two or a lot of that other BS people used to believe -- it's all chemistry, and it's perfectly legitimate to tell people that you've got a neurological condition that your doctor is managing through medication. Because that's exactly what it is.

If you don't have insurance coverage for the meds, a lot of the big drug companies have subsidized programs for people whose incomes are limited. You can probably turn up the info via a web search. I found out all this stuff via my Iowa friend mentioned above.

So, hope you are hangin' in...
