IMG_1320.jpegSorry, I'm a little distracted. I bought this camera yesterday. If you check the photos, you can see some differences between the numbers on the F ring and those on the scale focusing ring. Maybe you have some idea about whether I can trust F ring Numbers for calkulating exposureIMG_1321.jpeg

First things first: I‘m pretty sure that your lens is the 1.9 variant (Planar design). Since the aperture scale is not linear I think that you will have a hatd time calculating exposure. If you have a calibrated developing process and a trusty lightmeter, you could try by trial and error.

You could also compare the settings with a 2.8 version, but I guess you don‘t have access to one.

Can you turn the aperture ring beyond the "2.8" marking?
Turn the aperture ring; make sure you see the iris; might require to set the shutter to B. Bring a ruler to the front of the lens. With the aperture ring turned as far as it will go, try to measure the apparent size of the iris as seen from the front; to avoid (as much as possible) parallax, move your sighting eye so that your line-sight remains parallel to the main axis. At f1.9, the aperture (entrance pupil, technically) should be 45/1.9=23.7mm, give or take. For f:2.8, same equation, different numbers.
