Highbridge (NYC)

Looking at the map, there is a road which runs more or less directly across the park from 172nd St. past the recreation center to the bridge. Is that going to be safe? Can I expect a fair number of people in that area or am I going to be alone.

Thanks for all the advice. It was easy to get to from the 168th St stop on the A train. It took about 30 minutes from Penn Station. There was some track work along the way. As far as security is concerned, the 33rd Precinct is at 170th and Amsterdam Avenue.

The steps were easy going down.
