i'm quite surprised by the Fuji's digital rendering. I only use film but I have been surprised by a few shots and their tendency to render noise like grain, particularly the one of the ad with the girl drinking.

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that "grain" was added in post processing.

I take it that the colour shot was processed in Lightroom, too? Did you own a X100 prior to this, and if so, how would you characterize the differences in image?

The color image is straight out of Lightroom with very little done to it ..... I did not own the previous x100 so can't compare anything between the two ...
