The Reunification Palace, formerly known as the Presidential Palace where the last president of South Vietnam worked and lived. Today, it is an impeccably preserved modernist architectural masterpiece used for state functions and ceremonial events. Leica SL2S - Zeiss Distagon T* 4/18 ZM. PS. I shot it in color to preserve the sixties feel. And then everything went wrong: it was 39C/101F; I felt a bit wobbly and messed up some of the exposures and so I'll have to go back and do it again. A UH-1 or "Huey" helicopter on the rooftop of the former Presidential Palace, today's Reunification Palace in Ho Chi Minh City. When on 30 April 1975, NVA troops entered the Palace grounds, the former president of South Vietnam had already been whisked away by CIA agents. Leica SL2S - Zeiss Distagon T* 4/18 ZM.
