I currently have an M8 and like it, but really wanted an M9 for the FF, higher resolution, lack of IR Filters, etc.
I was given a great price on a new one from a Leica AD, so I decided to go for it. I will still keep the M8 for now, but I should get the M9P on Tuesday.
What have I done!!!

Congratulations
I wish I could be in your position! I've owned my M8 since December of 2011... It was in pristine condition with only 400 actuations... It's now become a scratched, modified and well used tool. I absolutely love it, and I could definitely see it getting along well with an M9 someday

You've bent over, greased up and pulled down your pants ... actually if we want to continue the Pulp Fiction theme, you've also called yourself "The Gimp" (isn't that a photo editing program ?) and put a red ball (sorry - red "dot") in your mouth ...

No. Class, creed, race or religion don't enter the equation and nor should they - otherwise you're just looking for a fight.

Congratulations!! You won't regret it. I love mine. I, too, kept my M8. I keep a 75mm summicron pretty much attached to it permanently and use the m9-p for normal to wide. Great combination.

Did nobody tell you the M10 is about to come out? At half the price with twice the features? Strange.

Well Brad, at least this explains why you've sold off some incredibly good film gear recently.
Please give me a shout when the M10 or M11 comes out, and you want to get rid of the "old" M9.

Sounds like GAS has a concscience. Too late, resistance was futile and so your conscience will be too. So you might as well just enjoy it.
