16900 Euros...... with that sort of paint damage!

That's outrageous.

Very unique cameras along with the IIIF Black Paint Cold Proofed, but I never quite understood why Leitz painted ALL the knobs black on these.......they looked really bad even after a few weeks in service, they should have prepared them as the WW2 Grey paint cameras were, they would have worn and looked better I think - with the major moving knobs remaining chrome and the shoe as well, only the body and base plate painted black, the Leitz factory service cameras were this way as well, I personally think the cameras looked better with the combination of the two, paint and chrome (also like the 1920`s and 30`s cameras did as well)

The all black theme may have looked kool, but it was`nt very practical in military usage, the OD Military M3`s and M2`s didn`t fair much better either, but then it`s a aquired taste, some people like the worn out beat up look as well with painted cameras

I guess it`s one good way of telling what`s real and not with these, but ohhh well.......there`s been quite a few FAKE "3 crowns" made as well in the past 40 odd years

That paint is perfect! What is everyone whining about?

I could sell my 69 VW Bus, 71 VW Westfalia and my bicycle - but I would still be about 11,000 Euros short.

Fortunately for us, the Swedes didn't request that 4 crowns be painted on the rear of the top cover. Then it would be worth another $8,100 US.
