Homage to my E-PL1, waiting for an E-M5 ?

I'm seriously thinking to upgrade from E-PL1 to OM-D: I tried the camera in a shop, and I'm really impressed by it... So I started to search photos made by OM-D, and what i saw was great, but suddenly I realised that also my little, neglected, poor E-PL1, is still able to make me smile, and thought to put here some of my last shots (in the meanwhile the OM-D in the shop is sold-out ...)

i had the same 'pangs' when i sold my ep2 to upgrade to the OMD. i still miss it. i took some excellent photos with it, and really became one with it ergonomically.

i have to say that while i am glad i made the move, it was (is) not the seamless transition i thought it would be. first, the settings do not translate from the old sensor to this new one, so everything is trial and error all over again.

second, the feel is totally different. even with the evf, the ep2 had a much less chunky feel. and even the act of looking through the vf's are very different on both cameras.

look, in the end, no doubt, the OMD wins on resolution, low light/high iso, fast fast fast AF and shutter, touch screen lcd shooting, live bulb, blah blah blah, but its gonna be a while till you get over your epl...i'm a month in and still not over my ep2.

I am going to sell my E-PL1 with VF-2 in order to get the OM-D. I had a chance to play with one and liked it a lot..

me too, but I don't know if I want to sell also VF-2: it could be useful - eventually - with a compact ( or perhaps on the OM-D itself ? )

What is so special about the OM-D when compared with your EPL-1?

as stated above, noticeably better resolution, high iso/low light ability, much better IS, much faster AF, ability to focus and fire by touching lcd, live bulb feature, enough?

Raid, the autofocus is phenomenal on the OMD. Lag is probably the shortest of any camera on the market. Funny that it contains the same chip apparently as the Lumix G3 which I have, and is no slouch. But from all the reviews and samples I've seen, it outshines the G3 by a lot.

OM-D vs E-PL1 ?
First of all - finally - a great AF , but also much better high iso to shoot at my friends playing music in clubs.
The AF of E-PL1 is too much slow for fast moving subjects, and I want clean 1600 iso for indoor music shots
