Hi All,
I made a great discovery today. I've been looking for a lens cap for my Fed 2e for sometime without much success. Today I was cleaning out my medicine cabinet and I noticed that the lid off an empty tylenol bottle appeared to be close to the correct size. I tried it on my industar 61 lens (filter actually), and discovered that it was just slightly too small. I then trimmed the inner edge of the cap with my trustly Swiss army knife and I now have a perfectly fitting lens cap at no extra cost. I even like the bright red colour. I hope that other out there who are suffering without a Fed lens cap can only be so lucky.
Regards,
Kevin

I took a plastic cap off a chewable vitamin C bottle and it fit snugly on the I-26 of my fed2(d) without modification. I have posted on other threads about machining abs and pvc plastic plumbing fittings into lenshoods and lens caps. You can find these posts via my user info section. Some pictures but none of the bottle cap yet.
