How about the other way round? A Helios-103 in LTM would certainly be nice.

I vote for this as well, Kiev bodies are just too big compared to Fed 1 or Zorki 1, but Kiev lenses are generally good in quality.

There must be a surplus of those bayonet mounting pieces. I'm sure someone in the Soviet area could find out which factory has all the parts. Maybe even Oleg knows - that way they can be bought in a larger number (without sacrificing a jupiter) and used for converting.

ill try to convert enlarger lens I 50u next but i need some more work for that.
and yes i made this according to kiev survival site.

You may wonder where kiev survival site got the idea? I also tried the other idea of converting Helios-103 to LTM mount. It is not possible as the rear element of H-103 is too large for the M39 mount IIRC.

I am also the person who made the 1st Arri standard to LTM mount lens. Now someone got the tip and these are listed sometimes at eb#y.😀

Well done!

NZeeman,

Did you use the back of a J-8M as on the site or Helios-103 for the lens' mount?

Zhang,

Why not use an old I-22 as the helicord, and you can machine the tube to take the movie lens?

Will,

The Arri standard mount has a M41 diameter so that it is not possible to use an I-22 mount. Besides, movie lens has a focusing ring with a distance scale that is accurated marked. Those super wideangle lenses has a great DOF so that a rangefinder is not necessary for most shooting conditions.

Zhang, you manage to get the mount done?

Any pictures?

I make do with a M42-M39 adaptor ring, and add some thin paper washers for the correct back focus distance. If I have a RD-1, I will make some dedicated mounts.

Here is a 20mm F2 35mm cine prime with the mount.
