Hello folks,

Just finished processing my pictures from Hong Kong that I took while there for business between October 5-11. I had the whole sunday free which is when most of the pictures were taken and then some during the week in the evenings.

I used a single setup - Leica M3 with Summitar 50 f2 collapsible
Film was TMAX 100 in daylight and TMAX400 in the evenings. There was some overlap as I only had the one body but I kept it to the minimum.

I developed it all myself in TMAX Developer @ 24 Celsius and scanned with the Pakon F135+.

Some adjustments were done in Photoshop mainly for contrast and occasionally used the clone tool.

Hope you like them and please feel free to post yours if you have some from the Demonstrations.

Thanks,
Ben

Thank you all for the kind words.

You can also see I am a rookie, have chopped a lot of legs through my shots in Hong Kong. I am relatively new to Photography / Very new to Film photography and brand spanking new for Range finder photography.

I like close up shots so I go in as far as I can which is usually 1meter with my old lens and I guess parallax comes into effect. I was very surprised to see most if not all my shots come short on the bottom end of the frame which results in missing feet. Quite very annoying.

I'll post more as I get to them.
Thanks,
Ben

Some more info:

I have shot 5 rolls all together, each 24 frames but I squeeze 26 from every roll and have a half - useless frame on 00 which I didn't manage to make use of yet with the M3 (can do 80% of the time with the Konica IIIa)

From the 130 images I kept about 50 and then did the post processing.
I've also taken shots that aren't really related to the Demonstrations just random images around Hong Kong, will happily post them at the end if there's interest.

Since shooting fim I really think twice before i click but of course I still click a little too often, which is something I hope to improve.

Anyways, hope you enjoy the images, here are a few extra for today:

Thank you for all the nice words!

Here are some more. I've noticed that a lot of people were just sitting around doing something, mostly reading / studying or following social media for news etc. It was quite very unique seeing these otherwise bustling main roads and highways being completely shut off from traffic and people sleeping / sitting / walking around on them. The next few photos are of people who just sat there by themselves doing something.

Hope you enjoy it!

Ben

17. (this girl was actually drawing a sketch of a man who was on top of a bridge and threatening police to jump. He was an anti-demonstrations protester saying his kids can't go to school because of all the interruptions to transportation. The students told me they thought such a person must have been hired by the government indirectly to add something negative towards the demonstrations)
