I believe if I am remembering correctly, I used a serie V hood with a 36mm push on adaptor.

I think folks you may be right.

I based myself on an original Iskra yellow filter to which i sticked with glue a 30.5->37 step up ring. It is very posible that the sticking action, performed several years ago, was due to the difference between 30.5 and 33mm.

Anyway, I ordered one.

One thing to keep in mind Ruben is that to change aperture settings you have to pull out the collar aperture ring. I picked up a 33mm hood but it interferes when I want to change aperture. To remedy this I got a busted up 33mm filter from a camera junk store and removed the glass, as it was all scratched up, and use that as a spacer so that in conjunction with the hood.

Yes. But a hood is inconvenient because you can't fold it in without taking it off, obviously. I shoot mine n'ked. I know, I know - you're not suppose ta shoot a camera w/o a hood, but the Iskra, to me, does a surprisingly okay job with flare.

The Iskras, like the Kievs, have been a project since long ago, only now comming to the surface.

You are right about the shutter. The "dry" feeling makes one scary. Therefore, via the cocking knob I apply a few drops of oil, to feel better.
