Hi Zhang,
no direct experience, sorry but I´m very tempted by one of those after seeing what one of my contacts at Flickr is doing with the Horizon_kompakt (the model before the S3 makeover I assume since it has the same lens but looks more edgy)
check out the pics (all on 35mm film) http://www.flickr.com/photos/lorseau/sets/72157594508204574/
(beware, there´s Xpan pics in there too! sweet xpan ;-D)

Hi,
Thanks, but the pictures do not show up from here in Beijing.:bang: But I think the S3 pro is a 120 camera, is it? If the lens is good , this camera could produce amazing images.

I have one, which I bought new about 18 months ago. It is a swing lens panoramic camera made by KMZ and is the direct successor to the Horizon 202. I believe that they are still being made. It has a 28/2.8 lens and uses standard 35mm film. Images are 58 mm x 24mm, so it gets 22 images on a 36 exposure roll or 14 images on a 24 exposure roll. The lens has no focussing mechanism, but seems to get everything from about 2m to Infinity in focus. There is a built-in bubble level in the viewfinder because, like all ultra wide lenses, it needs to be level so that the horizon does not get distorted. I have tried to attach a sample image to this post but I am not sure if it is going to work. It is not a particularly inspiring subject (the front of my house), but I used it to illustrate the angle of view. The driveway on the left and the footpath on the right (sidewalk) are actually at right angles to each other.

Doh! :bang: I just can't get the hang of how to upload photos to this site. Here is another attempt.

Thanks. I thought it was a 120 swing lens camera. I have the Horizon camera so I understand how this camera works.
If you click "manage attachment" when replying a message, and then upload it from your computer file, the image will show up. But your image size is limited to about 770 dpi IIRC.

Hi Zhang,
if you are interested in a 120 swing lens camera, have a look at the Horizon 205pc:

Must be quite a monster of a camera (3,7kg!).

Thanks Philipp. It is a heavy camera! The image size is not much larger than a Moscow 5's 6x9cm.

I saw an image of this camera on a Chinese site and then checked Princelle's book. But it is not mentioned in the book. Does anyone have experience with this camera?
Cheers,
Zhang
