Any idea how to focus use LCD for manual lens like M lens?
For still object it can be easy but for street photo/people will be problem
I suspect you have to use decades old methods. Zone focus with a deep DOF or pre-focus and wait until the subject enters the focus zone.
The XM-1 is not priced to be a full-feature camera.
Yeah, I think I've made the decision to get one of these. I just think photographing at waist level could come in handy at times. Plus, I've never owned a camera with this type of LCD. I want the brown one though... 
Ok, cancelled my order after trying it in person. Too much like Fuji's XF1 and X10/X20 in feel instead of the X cameras. It's nice for what it is, but not worth me picking up for my needs.

It is a 16mp xtran sensor. Which should be the same as the xe1. Whether it is using the newer 16mp sensor from the x100s I don't know, but I would assume it would not since this is a cost reduction.
