Hot Shoe is loose goose...M5

When I slide my external viewfinder for the 25mm Snapshot Skopar into the hot shoe of my M5..it's a very loose goose. I am afraid it will fall out while hiking and I won't notice.

What is the best way to make this a better (tighter) fit?

You could disassemble and use a soft mallet. A piece of paper cut to size should also do the trick: two or more thicknesses if one does not work.
