So, FED-5B. They say it is big (B) and heavy.

Here it is beside M3.

And here is FED-5B, M3 weight with common lenses attached. And some other RF cameras.

It appears to be not so big and not so heavy...

It's basically a FED-4 (which is unnecessarily big already), shrunk down on features but not on size.
Or in other words, the features per weight of that camera is lower.

I think the FED-5 body alone is slightly heavier than Leica M3 (600g vs 580g?), if you measure and compare the bodies only.

I had a chance to get a FED-5 for nothing but I rejected it.

FED-5B has auto for frames counter reset and real hotshoe. Plus, easy to read shutter speeds and normal film rewind (really normal, no mazo, FED-3 and Smena-8M style).

Also, one which is pictured in OP is kind of smooth on shutter. RF double images are better than on Leica, IMO. Just like on FED-2 (also pictured), if not better, but VF is less dim.

And it has good service manual. Better than Maizenberg maze, IMO.

I don't shot with only bodies, it is camera and lens to wear, plus, the case. Cron 50V4 is light (weighted with M3), if not the lightest 50 Cron. Industar 61 is the kit lens for FED-3,4,5.
Yet, M3 case isn't the light one. But it could be used without case. With FED-3,4,5 it is better to have one.
My M3 on my scale is 586. FED-5Big is 603.

It's good to see these real world numbers , Ko. The only reason I consider the weight of a camera is I feel that the heavier ones are more stable in my hands. That relates to the bodies, not what lens is hanging on it, as the center of balance will change with each one.
