How do you calibrate a Canon P?

Title says it all. I know it is an amateurish question but if any one knows it would be really helpful. If it dosent need to be camera specific then please tlell me how to calibrate a normal rangefinder

I'd send it to a professional to do a cleaning, lubrication and adjustment (CLA). Get the small light seals changed too.
