I use a commercial firm to make my prints.
I shoot digital in 5x4 format.
The commercial firm prints enlargements in 3x2 format.
As a result my photos get cropped top and bottom if I want poster sized prints.
If I could add a strip of 'nothing' to the end of my photo i.e. a blank neutral panel, I could get my photo into the commercial format.
How do I do this?
I don't use 'satan's snap fixer' i.e. Photoshop, or any other fancy program.
Any sensible suggestions welcome.

And the commercial firm won't make a print with borders?

Change the commercial firm you use to make your prints?

Hire a new printer. A border/header/footer is not difficult in any way for a competent lab.

Honestly? Use photoshop. That's why it exists.
