Hi everybody,
perhaps this is a silly question, but I want to ask you nevertheless. 😉 At the moment I am packing my gear for an upcoming trip to Italy. Among other things I plan to take about 50 rolls of film with me. Tonight I stuck labels on all plastic packaging tubes of the film rolls, each marking the effective sensitivity for the film and a field, where I can check, if the film is exposed or not (simply to avoid double-exposures). In the beginning I planned only to take the film in its plastic tube and not to take the cardboard outer package with me, but now I realised (something I didn't really mention before), that most plastic tubes are transparent, only the ones of Neopan 1600 are black.
I really would like to leave the cardboard outer packages at home, but now I fear, that the films in the transparent tubes could undergo too much light. How do you take your film rolls with you? With or without the cardboard packaging? Do you think, "too much light" could be a problem, when transporting the film rolls only in the plastic tubes?
Thanks and kind regards,
