How does the Bessa III meter?

I assume (guessing) that it is not TTL.

And I'm guessing that it isn't "off the film" either.

Does it meter directly via a sensor built into the top deck?

Thanks
Vick

There is a meter sensor on the front of the top-plate. It is very accurate - I have shot about 10 rolls so far and except in very tricky light - I let the camera do the job. Occasionally strong backlight can fool it - as with any other camera - but the +/- compensation is quick and easy to reach.
The more I use it, the more I like it! It is not a 35mm rangefinder so I find myself shooting a bit slower and more contemplative - and the fact that you have to reload often makes you pick your shots.

Good to hear from you.

So, you won't be interested in trading it any time soon, eh? ;-)

Is your Bessa III a prototype, or did you get a production model?

regards
Vick

No chance of trading it - I really like it!
It does not have a serial number - but it is a production version.
Are you heading west soon - I lend it to you for a couple of days when you came back here.
