Reverse problem:
I wanted to take a black frame on long exposure to see what my hot pixel situation was like...After a frame or two, discovered that I DIDN'T have the lens cap on...

To add insult to injury... my first R-D1 would come up with totally black frames even when the lens cap *wasn't* on.

I'm in Auckland but as it's Auckland Anniversary weekend and a long one, i'm off to Hastings and Napier tomorrow.

Then I heard a second click, and the awful truth dawned... I'd left the lens cap on, and was getting 30sec shutter speed :bang:
